![]() NAMA APPROVES SALE OF DEVELOPMENT LAND IN DUBLIN & KILDARE The National Assets Management Agency (NAMA) has given their agreement to the bringing to market of nearly 128 acres of development land in counties Dublin and Kildare. NAMA previously owed this land, now bought by the Albany Group, a company which has built around 4,000 houses since the year 2000 in Kildare and Dublin regions. | ![]() |
The NAMA approved sales in Kildare includes sites in Naas and Newbridge, of 15.8 and 50.8 acres, respectively. The Naas site (guide price € 7.5 million) is located near the Southern Ring Road and, under the NAAS Local Area Plan, is currently zoned for residential development. The Newbridge site is 50.8 acres, of which 26 acres are currently zoned for residential development and this land is located near the centre of Newbridge, on the banks of the Liffey. Guide price here is € 6.0 million. Finally in Kildare, on the Celbridge Road near the Intel factory, is a 38.5 acres site, with a guide price of € 23.0 million. This site previously had full planning permission for 451 residential units, although this planning permission has now expired. In County Dublin, three sites are on offer under the NAMA approved arrangement. Two sites, referred to a Drinan-2 and Drinan-4, both situated off Kettles Lane, in Swords. Drinan-2 is almost 12 acres in area and has planning permission for 153 houses and 24 apartments, (guide price € 5.5 million) whilst Drinan-4, (guide price € 1.25 million) and of 2.5 acres in extent, previously had planning permission for 62 houses, until it passed it's expiration date in January 2016. The final Dublin site, also in Swords, is a commercial development zoned region, beside the Airfield Business Park, of approx. 8.5 acres and the guide price here is € 1.5 million.
